To explain properly step by step the global configuration, I propose to split the production configuration in several parts.

The first step concerns the Kerberos configurations for the following basic BI environment:

  • IIS data pump hosted on the front web server webmoss-srv01
  • SSRS 2008 hosted on webapp-srv01
  • SQL and SSAS on sqlssas-srv01.

Now we have to define a naming convention for the different hosts that will be used.

For the web datapump host that will permit people to access to their cubes trough HTTP protocol:

BI-WEBSSAS.yourdomain.net;

For the SSRS host:

BI-SSRS.yourdomain.net.

For the SSAS / SQL host:

BI-SQLSSAS.yourdomain.net.

And also for the service accounts =

For SSRS service account =

ACC-BI-SSRS@yourdomain.net

For the web access to SSAS service account =

ACC-BI-SSASWEB@yourdomain.net

And for the SSAS service account =

ACC-BI-SSAS@yourdomain.net
